Hearts of Oak's Ouattara accepts coaching changes, ex-board says

Hearts of Oak made coaching changes after their recent season ended. The club brought back Mas-Ud Didi Dramani to replace Aboubakar Ouattara as head coach. Former board member Alhaji Braimah Akanbi defended the decision during radio interviews. He stressed that team officials explained their plans to the departing coach before making any announcements. Akanbi said Ouattara understood the club's new direction and supported their choice.

The Ivorian coach had signed a contract that would have kept him at Hearts for two seasons. Club leaders decided to make leadership changes despite Ouattara's recent arrival. Akanbi told Asempa FM that management held discussions with Ouattara about future plans. The former board member insisted no disagreements occurred between the coach and team officials. He questioned why people assumed problems existed when everyone agreed on the decision.

Dramani will take charge of team preparations for upcoming competitions. The veteran coach returns to Hearts after previous coaching experience with other clubs. His first major task involves getting players ready for the 2025 President's Cup tournament. Team officials expect him to begin his duties immediately as preseason training approaches. Hearts has not announced what position Ouattara might fill within the organization going forward.
