Hero divers save all in fiery Johor police chopper crash as chaos erupts in Sungai Pulai

Maritime heroes plunged into murky river waters after a police chopper plummeted during a multinational security drill. The Special Task and Rescue squad from Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency charged into action when the AS355N aircraft carrying five officers crashed into Sungai Pulai. Ten brave rescuers dove straight into the chaotic scene and hauled every victim from the wreckage without losing a single life. Maritime Lieutenant Nur Mohd Farhan Mohd Hamil spearheaded the daring water rescue mission that saved all crew members. The STAR team proved their mettle when seconds mattered most during the morning emergency.

The doomed helicopter had departed Tanjung Kupang Police Station at 9.51 am before crashing just 24 minutes later during the MITSATOM 2025 exercise. Four countries including Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Singapore were participating in the nuclear security detection drill at Gelang Patah Maritime Jetty. Civil Aviation Authority confirmed the aircraft registration 9M-PHG went down with pilot and four passengers aboard. The crash happened right in the middle of the international training operation that brings together regional maritime forces.

Two critically injured officers fight for their lives at Sultanah Aminah Hospital while receiving round-the-clock breathing support. Three fellow crew members recovered enough to move into regular hospital wards after the terrifying ordeal. One victim remains heavily sedated in intensive care while another battles serious injuries in the same unit. Bukit Aman officials track each survivor's progress as medical teams work to save everyone involved.
