Highlands Forestry Heist Sees Masked Gang Snag US 2140

Armed robbers hit the Forestry Commission office in Highlands. Six masked men with a pistol and iron bars tied up two security guards during the attack. They broke into the sales office, cracked open a safe, and stole $2,140.

The crew moved next to the Instinct Risk Advisory offices nearby. They smashed through the toilet window bars for entry. After searching through two offices, they removed a safe from the accounts area and carried it outside. The thieves forced it open and took cash, though the exact amount remains unknown.

Police spokesperson Inspector Luckmore Chakanza said GTS security staff responded after an alarm went off. Officers found yellow pliers, green detonator cords, and dynamite paste tubes at the crime scene. Police continue to investigate the robbery. The total value of all stolen items has not been determined.
