Honda just rolled out a brand new electric scooter called the CUV e for European riders. The company built this bike with special software called Honda RoadSync Duo that works just for electric rides. This marks Honda's second electric two-wheeler for European customers who want clean transportation around town. The scooter runs on two removable battery packs that riders can easily swap out when needed. Honda designed the CUV e to travel more than 70 kilometers on a single charge.
The scooter hits European dealerships this September with two different models to choose from. Riders can pick up the basic Standard model that comes with a 5-inch screen for 4,000 euros. The fancier Connected version features a bigger 7-inch screen and costs 4,500 euros. Both models come with two battery packs and two charging units right out of the box. Honda previously used the CUV name back in 1994 for a Japanese-only model called the CUV ES.
The letters CUV stand for Clean Urban Vehicle which fits perfectly with Honda's plan to go electric. European customers can expect better performance and more features compared to Honda's first electric scooter. The removable batteries make charging much easier since riders can take them inside to plug them in. Honda built this scooter specifically for city commuters who need reliable electric transportation. The RoadSync Duo app gives riders extra tools designed just for electric vehicle owners.
