How do you apply for CIO jobs in Zimbabwe?

I see what you are trying to do.

But it would be best if you did something else with your life.

The CIO (Central Intelligence Organisation) is one of the Zimbabwean government's most critical eyes. It is an intelligence agency involved in sensitive national security matters.

Publicly disclosing specifics about the recruitment process is highly inappropriate!

Now is the plan for Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa's successor to be selected via parliament while sidelining Chiwenga, e.g., Tagwirei?

Yeah, you've kinda basically cracked the code on this one.

So here's the deal. Mnangagwa is terrified that if Chiwenga takes over, the guy will come for his colleagues' interests. They have this whole history where Chiwenga was basically promised the top job after helping with the 2017 coup against Mugabe, and Mnangagwa just... never honored that deal. Mnangagwa plays to the beat of his own drum; he is shrewd and very smart.

A successor, well, not Tagwirei as such (he could be, I will not expagorate further), but to take your example into effect:

The problem with installing Tagwirei as successor is that the man has zero popular appeal. He is a dismal politician, to say the least. He is a person who goes about throwing mud at the wall, hoping it sticks, except he does it without money. Put him in a direct election against someone like Nelson Chamisa, and he gets smoked.

So what do you do? You change the rules. The rest is classified info.
