I-DLE Wins Big as Seoul Music Awards Celebrates Top Acts

The Seoul Music Awards happened at Inspire Arena on June 21. Three stars hosted the show that featured 19 different music acts. Miyeon from I-DLE, Kang Seung-yoon from WINNER, and Soobin from TXT ran the ceremony. The awards show has been around since 1990 and remains one of Korea's most important music events. Famous actors also showed up to present awards to the winners.

I-DLE took home the biggest prize of the night. The group thanked their fans for all the support over the years. They promised to keep working hard and making great music. This year marks seven years since the group first started performing together. The members recently changed their name from G I-DLE to just I-DLE.

TXT won two major awards for their album and song. The group thanked fans for helping them achieve success. ZEROBASEONE also won an album award at the ceremony. Both groups promised to keep making music that fans would love. Many other artists received awards during the night.

Young Tak walked away with four different trophies. He won awards for his solo work, trot music, and soundtrack contributions. The singer talked about how special it felt to win after 20 years in music. Many rookie groups also received recognition for their debut year performances. The night celebrated both new and established artists in Korean music.
