Ibanda High Teacher Wanted in Shocking Hit Run Tragedy

The police want to find Mr. Medard Ayebare because he hurt someone with his car. Mr. Ayebare works as the head teacher at Ibanda High School. He was driving very fast on the Ibanda-Mbarara Road when his car hit a little boy named Herbert Mugume. Herbert was only seven years old and went to Nyabuhikye Church of Uganda Primary School. This sad thing happened on February 10, 2025.

After Mr. Ayebare's car hit Herbert, he left his car at a police station in Kazo District and ran away. The police moved the car to another police station in Ibanda. They want to look at it carefully to learn more about what happened.

A police officer named Michael Kananura said Mr. Ayebare did something very wrong. He should have stayed to help Herbert instead of running away. The police are looking everywhere for Mr. Ayebare. They want him to come to the police station and tell them what happened.

The police need help finding Mr. Ayebare. They ask anyone who knows where he might be to tell them. People can go to any police station near them and share what they know. The police promise they will keep secret the names of people who help them find Mr. Ayebare. The police keep working hard to find out everything about this very sad accident.
