ICC confirms England to host World Test Championship finals in 2027, 2029, and 2031

The International Cricket Council conducted its Annual Conference in Singapore, where officials granted England and Wales Cricket Board hosting privileges for the World Test Championship Finals across 2027, 2029, and 2031 editions. Board members received updates on assistance programs for displaced Afghan women cricketers through partnerships with Indian, English, and Australian cricket organizations. These initiatives provide elite training, domestic competition access, and participation at major tournaments. USA Cricket maintains probationary status while requiring administrative reforms and elections within three months. Officials thanked departing leadership for their contributions.

Conference attendees elected Gurumurthy Palani, Anuraag Bhatnagar, and Gurdeep Klair as Associate Member representatives to the Chief Executives Committee. Timor-Leste Cricket Federation and Zambia Cricket Union achieved Associate membership status, expanding total membership to 110 organizations. Participants formally approved the 2024 annual report and financial statements. The gathering addressed governance matters and strategic development initiatives. Administrative decisions reflected efforts to strengthen the global cricket infrastructure.
