The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda presented its 10th Accountancy Service Awards on Oct. 3 at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel. The ceremony honored professionals across nine categories under the theme Accountancy: Serving with Excellence.
CPA Timothy David Ediomu, the institute president, said the awards celebrate passion and perseverance in strengthening Uganda's accountancy profession. Minister of State for Finance Henry Musasizi praised Uganda's adoption of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for sustainability disclosure. The country launched its roadmap in September 2025.
Winners spanned multiple categories, recognizing lifetime achievement, innovation, and humanitarian service. CPA Ben Patrick Kagoro received the Gold Service Award for his 28 years of professional contributions. The institute reviewed 142 nominations from members, students, and the public.
