If you bought the cheap iPhone 16e, Apple says no fast charging for you

Apple introduces third-party wireless charging improvements through iOS 26, launching next month. The update enables 25W charging speeds on iPhone 16 devices using any compatible Qi2 accessory. Previously, users required Apple's MagSafe chargers to achieve maximum wireless charging rates. The enhancement eliminates this restriction for most iPhone 16 variants.

Belkin has developed three new Qi2 25W chargers that match Apple's charging performance claims. These accessories can power devices from zero to 50 percent battery in 30 minutes. Users may select wireless chargers based on personal preferences rather than brand limitations.

The iPhone 16e remains excluded from this wireless charging standard upgrade. Apple has not formally announced these charging speed improvements. Beta testers discovered the changes within iOS 26 testing versions. Google's recent Pixel 10 Pro models offer similar wireless charging capabilities, creating direct competition with iPhone 16 devices.
