The Eko International Cup takes place from July 6 through July 13 next year. All games will happen at Mobolaji Johnson Arena located at Onikan. Lagos will host the week-long football event. Teams from five different African countries will participate. The venue has previously hosted major Nigerian football matches.

Hearts of Oak represents Ghana at the tournament. Dadje arrives from the Republic of Benin to compete. Sierra Leone sends Kallon FC to join the competition. SuperSport United travels from South Africa. Four Nigerian teams complete the eight-team field.

The mix of domestic and international teams provides varied competition. Each club seeks valuable match experience before their respective seasons start.
