Impact Soundworks releases Tokyo Scoring Solo Strings

Impact Soundworks released Tokyo Scoring Solo Strings, a sample library that records five string players from the Koichiro Muroya Strings ensemble at Studio City with engineer Mitsunori Aizawa. The collection features Koichiro Muroya performing violin 1, violin 2 and viola alongside cellist Masami Horisawa and contrabassist Jun Saito for first-chair performances, solos and string quintet arrangements.

The software includes two pre-sculpted mixes and a mic mixer that blends four microphone positions, with up to five dynamics per articulation from pp to ff. Engineers access sustains, pizzicato, staccato, staccatissimo, spiccato, tremolo and trills through three legato types and two portamento options that use a Spectral Fusion System for smooth transitions. The library maps articulations through keyswitches, MIDI CCs, velocities, and key ranges with standard, zero-latency, and lookahead playback modes.

Tokyo Scoring Solo Strings costs $249 and offers $50 discounts for owners of Tokyo Scoring Strings through personalized deals. The library is compatible with Kontakt Player 7.8 or later and supports NKS.
