Impetus turns MPE keyboards into hands-on DAW controllers on Apple Silicon Macs. Impetus Software maps vertical finger movement across eight mixer channels, while modifier keys flip those same controls between volume, panning, solo, mute, and record arming.
Under the hood, HUI works alongside Mackie Control, letting compatible hosts treat the app like dedicated control hardware. Transport commands, track banking, MIDI Learn, presets, three fader behaviors, fine adjustment, and a macOS-wide shortcut and macro system are packed in.
ROLI Seaboard 49, Seaboard M, and K-Board Pro 4 hardware are supported, with other Y-axis MPE controllers also eligible.
