In Nairobi, Mudavadi courts Malava teachers for by-election

Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi met with over seventy education representatives from Kakamega North and Malava Constituency during a Nairobi conference. Kenya National Union of Teachers and Kenya Secondary School Heads Association leaders participated in discussions about the government's commitment to educational improvement. Mudavadi emphasized strategic partnerships with educators to enhance learning conditions and teacher welfare across Western Kenya. The meeting marked the beginning of regular consultations between government officials and teaching professionals. Education leaders presented their concerns through formal documentation addressing immediate needs.

Teachers requested urgent infrastructure development for schools, timely pension disbursements for retirees, and the establishment of additional higher education facilities in Malava. KNUT Chairperson Simon Sindani and KESSHA Vice Chairperson Dan Masitsa led the delegation presenting community priorities. Mudavadi acknowledged these proposals while encouraging educators to guide Malava's upcoming by-election process. He honored deceased MP Malulu Injendi's educational legacy and urged teachers to support candidates matching his dedication. The Prime Cabinet Secretary promised continued engagement with various community groups to advance regional development goals.
