India bags five medals in rifle blitz at ISSF Junior World Cup

Indian shooters dominated the opening day of the ISSF Junior World Cup at Dr. Karni Singh Ranges. Female competitors claimed every medal position in the 50m rifle prone competition. Anushka Thokur secured first place by achieving 621.6 points while teammate Anshika earned second with 619.2. Aadhya Agrawal completed the sweep by finishing third at 615.9 points.

Male athletes also performed strongly during Thursday's events. Deependra Singh Shekhawat captured second place with 617.9 points in his category. Rohit Kanyan added a third-place finish by recording 616.3 points. Individual Neutral Athlete Kamil Nuriakhmetov topped the men's field with 618.9 points. The host nation collected five total medals before Olympic disciplines begin Friday with 10m air pistol finals.
