India flaunts tech muscle as IMC 2025 opens in Delhi

The Indian Mobile Congress will demonstrate the nation's technological capabilities when Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates the event on Oct. 8 at Yashobhoomi in New Delhi. CEO P. Ramakrishna stated the annual gathering will highlight how the mobile and telecom sector adapts to global requirements, and indigenous platforms will position India as a leading telecom hub.

The four-day congress runs through Oct. 11, and features exhibitions on artificial intelligence applications in 5G networks and emerging 6G technology. Ramakrishna encouraged attendees to explore how evolving technologies will improve citizen services through practical demonstrations.

Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia described the Congress as Asia's largest technology gathering. The event brings together telecom executives, innovators, startups, and government officials to discuss 6G development, AI-native networks, satellite communications, and digital infrastructure.

Last year's congress attracted more than 400 exhibitors, nearly 900 startups, and participants from over 120 countries between Oct. 15 and 18. Organizers presented more than 900 technology applications through 100 sessions featuring 600 speakers from India and abroad.
