Government data shows a major expansion of public services through post offices. Over four hundred fifty Post Office Passport Seva Kendras processed nearly thirty lakh applications this year, creating significant revenue. More than thirteen thousand post offices now also serve as Aadhaar centers, generating additional income while helping citizens access benefit schemes.

A refurbished ATM system at a thousand locations aims for better reliability and faster transactions.
