Indian expats in Reykjavik run wild for Viksit Bharat

Indian Embassy officials in Reykjavik hosted a community run on Sunday that drew approximately 50 diaspora members and local supporters. Ambassador R Ravindra delivered remarks to participants before administering a development pledge ceremony. The 3-kilometer event formed part of the global Viksit Bharat Run 2025 initiative. Participants received certificates after completing the course in Iceland's capital city.

India's youth and external affairs ministries coordinate the worldwide program across more than 150 sites spanning 91 nations. The September 17 through October 2 campaign operates under the Seva Pakhwada framework. Officials designed the runs to rally expatriate Indians around the Viksit Bharat 2047 development vision. The initiative targets iconic global landmarks from San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge to Mexico City's Angel of Independence monument.
