Four Indian warships completed their Singapore visit Saturday after three days of military cooperation activities. Rear Admiral Susheel Menon led the vessels INS Delhi, INS Satpura, INS Shakti, and INS Kiltan during their July 16-19 stay. The ships conducted professional exchanges with Singapore's navy and participated in academic discussions. Community outreach programs also took place throughout the visit. The Indian delegation toured Singapore's Information Fusion Centre on Friday.
The port call strengthened maritime partnerships between both nations across the Indo-Pacific region. Singapore and India have maintained naval cooperation for over thirty years through joint exercises and training programs. The deployment supports India's Act East policy while promoting regional security and stability. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar recently visited Singapore for high-level talks on trade and technology cooperation. Both countries continue expanding their strategic partnership through defense collaboration and shared regional interests.
