India's century trio denies England victory at Old Trafford

India salvaged a draw from the fourth Test at Old Trafford after facing early collapse on Sunday. Captain Shubman Gill contributed 103 runs during a seven-hour batting display that steadied his team's second innings. Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar completed centuries to secure the result with an unbroken 203-run partnership. England maintains their 2-1 series advantage before Thursday's decisive fifth Test at the Oval. Ben Stokes achieved rare distinction by scoring 141 runs and claiming five wickets in the same match.

Gill established a new record for Indian batsmen against England with 722 runs across the series. The tourists have produced eleven individual centuries, surpassing all previous visiting teams in England. Stokes bowled despite apparent leg discomfort while trying to force a breakthrough on the final day. The match concluded when part-time bowler Harry Brook delivered the closing overs as both batsmen reached their hundreds.
