Intel Nova Lake Desktop Chips Flip Script with 52 Cores

Intel announced its Nova Lake processor lineup for desktop and laptop computers. The chips will arrive after Bartlett Lake-S and Panther Lake processors reach stores. Company slides revealed these next-generation CPUs during recent presentations to media outlets. Nova Lake represents major advances beyond current processor designs.

Bartlett Lake-S processors feature only performance cores without efficiency cores. These chips pack up to 12 cores and support 24 threads through simultaneous multithreading. The processors work with existing LGA 1700 and 1800 sockets rather than newer designs. Intel brands these CPUs under the Core Series 2 name.

Nova Lake-S processors will use the LGA 1954 socket and deliver massive core counts. Early reports suggest up to 52 total cores using Coyote Cove and Arctic Wolf architectures. Desktop versions may contain 16 performance cores and 32 efficiency cores. Laptop models will follow similar design principles.

Panther Lake chips launch for laptops during early 2026 before Nova Lake-U arrives. The Nova Lake-U family targets mainstream and entry-level laptop markets first. Higher-end Nova Lake-H and Nova Lake-HX processors will debut later after production increases. Intel plans multiple processor families across coming years.
