Interim Government Steps Up Measures to Prevent HSC Question Paper Leaks

Bangladesh plans strict security for high school final exams starting Thursday. Education Adviser Chowdhury Rafiqul Abrar announced new steps to stop cheating and question paper theft. The government wants fair testing for all students across the nation. Officials warned they will take quick legal action against anyone who breaks exam rules. Local administrators received orders to watch exam centers carefully.

More than 1.2 million students will take the HSC and similar tests under 11 education boards. The Bangla first paper exam begins at 10 am Thursday morning. Female students outnumber males with 633,096 girls compared to 618,015 boys taking the tests. Most candidates belong to the General Education Board with over one million students registered.

Security measures include banning electronic devices near all exam sites. Students cannot use phones or other gadgets within 200 yards of testing centers. Anyone caught with banned items faces immediate punishment from authorities. Teachers and local officials will monitor the entire exam process together.

The country set up 2,797 exam centers for the nationwide testing period. Another 293 students will take exams at eight locations outside Bangladesh. More than 9,300 schools and colleges participate in the examination system. The education ministry ordered all coaching centers to close until August 15.

Abrar asked parents to help make exams peaceful and honest. The government remains alert to prevent problems that happened during previous testing periods. Officials hope strong security will protect exam fairness for all students.
