Iqbal and Lu Hao align on new economic path for Pakistan

Pakistan's Ministry of Planning signed a collaborative agreement with China's Development Research Center on Sunday. The partnership will establish joint research initiatives, training sessions, and expert exchange programs focused on economic development. Minister Ahsan Iqbal met with Lu Hao, who leads China's Development Research Center and Center for International Knowledge on Development, during the Islamabad session. Iqbal emphasized Pakistan's desire to study Chinese economic successes and reform strategies. He described China's systematic planning approach as a model for achieving lasting economic growth.

The Pakistani minister highlighted his country's goal to expand trade relationships and boost exports with China. Lu Hao responded positively to Pakistan's vision of transforming into an export-focused economy. Both officials agreed that knowledge sharing would benefit economic development in both nations. The collaboration represents a significant step toward strengthening bilateral economic ties. This partnership aims to transfer Chinese expertise to Pakistani development planning processes.
