Islamabad outraged by Kashmir Martyrs Day as Dogra impunity laid bare

Pakistan marks the 94th anniversary of Kashmir Martyrs' Day on July 13 as the nation remembers 22 brave souls who died fighting Dogra forces back in 1931. The brutal crackdown happened in Srinagar and sparked what became a decades-long struggle for freedom that continues today. Foreign Office Spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan stepped up to the podium Friday and honored these fallen heroes during his regular press conference. He called their sacrifice a turning point that launched the Kashmiri movement for basic human rights and independence. The official praised their courage and determination against overwhelming odds.

Khan slammed Indian security forces for their continued brutality against innocent Kashmiris who still face the same oppression after nearly a century. He accused military units of operating with complete immunity under harsh emergency laws that permit killing civilians without consequences. The spokesperson pointed out that these draconian anti-terrorism measures also allow troops to destroy homes and businesses without facing any legal punishment. Recent events brought back painful memories when Pakistan observed the ninth anniversary of Burhan Muzaffar Wani's death. The young Kashmiri leader became another victim of extrajudicial execution by Indian forces who targeted him for his activism.

Pakistani officials demanded that India immediately stop murdering unarmed civilians and end their campaign of violence against people living under occupation. Khan emphasized that hundreds of young Kashmiris have lost their lives to similar brutal tactics over the years. The Foreign Office called for international intervention to protect innocent lives from continuing atrocities. Pakistani leaders continue pressing the global community to address the humanitarian crisis affecting millions of Kashmiris. The government maintains that only justice and accountability can bring lasting peace to the troubled region.
