Women in Toroba village received five hectares of agricultural land through EU-funded assistance from ActionAid International The Gambia. Village Development Committee Chairman Ismaila Bah completed all legal documentation with Kerewan Area Council before transferring ownership to female beneficiaries. The SAPOF Project constructed a vegetable garden equipped with solar-powered water systems and modern facilities. ActionAid installed eight solar panels, one 15,000-liter tank, and fifteen water reservoirs for year-round farming operations. The organization provided training for eighteen women farmers in organic fertilizer production methods.
