Israel strikes kill key Iranian officials as conflict escalates

Israel struck and killed more top Iranian military leaders during Saturday night attacks. The fighting between both countries has continued for over a week. Iran said American involvement would create danger for everyone. President Trump announced he has two weeks to decide about possible US strikes. American B-2 stealth bombers flew toward the Pacific Ocean carrying powerful bombs.

The attacks killed Saeed Izadi who led Iran's Palestine Corps. Israeli forces also killed Behnam Shahriyari who helped fund Hezbollah fighters. A nuclear scientist named Isar Tabatabai-Qamsheh died with his wife during a Tehran strike. Earlier attacks had already killed several Iranian commanders and military chiefs. Iran's supreme leader picked three clerics as potential replacements and chose new military leaders.

Iran fired missiles at Israel Saturday morning and damaged buildings with shrapnel. A drone later hit a house in northern Israel but hurt no one. Israeli planes bombed Iran's uranium enrichment plant at Fordow for the second time. More than 400 Iranians have died since fighting started eight days ago. Israel reports 25 deaths from Iranian attacks but stopped 99 percent of incoming drones.
