It's hard for Big 3 to collab, says Ubi Franklin

Music executive Ubi Franklin believes collaboration among Afrobeats leading performers remains unlikely due to competitive industry dynamics. The talent manager discussed Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy during an Afropolitan podcast appearance. Franklin compared their relationship to fierce competition between major Nigerian financial institutions. He argued that every industry contains dominant players who naturally become rivals rather than partners. The executive emphasized how their status as top-tier artists creates barriers to working together.

Franklin defended the authenticity of relationships between these musicians despite public perceptions. He testified that Davido never speaks negatively about his competitors during private conversations. The manager expressed confidence that similar respect exists among all three artists. Franklin characterized any apparent conflicts as entertainment-focused rather than genuine animosity. He maintained that industry positioning prevents meaningful collaboration while personal relationships remain professional.
