Itula Rips Into Nandi Ndaitwah Over Corruption Cover Up

IPC leader Panduleni Itula wants President Nandi-Ndaitwah to create stronger anti-corruption laws instead of just talking about the problem. He spoke at his party's address Friday, claiming that calling corruption treason without clear definitions does nothing real to fight it. He demands that Swapo reveal how much money they gained from corrupt activities.

Itula criticized the president for barely mentioning corruption in her speech and offering no new plans to combat it. He questioned her claim that she lacks the authority to appoint the Anti-Corruption Commission director, pointing out that she starts the appointment process. Itula asked for special protections for people who report corruption and wants officials accused of wrongdoing barred from office during investigations.

The opposition leader reacted to Nandi-Ndaitwah's statement that she would only address corruption during her time as president. He called this approach unacceptable and said citizens want honest leadership. Itula believes past corruption beneficiaries must face the consequences for their actions. His demands highlight growing public frustration with the government's handling of corruption cases.
