A Nigerian musician who serves as Senior Special Assistant to the Abia State Governor for Tourism and Entertainment survived a serious vehicle crash earlier this week. Martins Okechukwu Justice, performing under the stage name J. Martins, walked away without injuries after his automobile left the roadway.
The collision happened on Monday along the Enugu-Aba-Port Harcourt Expressway when the braking system in his vehicle failed. Loss of control sent the car careening off the highway into the brush at the roadside at considerable velocity.
The artist characterized what happened as frightening but credited divine intervention for his survival. He emerged from the wreckage physically unharmed despite the severity of the crash. J. Martins publicly expressed thankfulness for escaping what could have been a fatal outcome on the major thoroughfare connecting three significant cities in southeastern Nigeria.
