Jamal Hossain soaks up rain and cash in Hyderabad

Heavy rainfall prevented the final round at Hyderabad Golf Association, leading officials to declare Bangladesh's Jamal Hossain the champion based on three-round totals. The 40-year-old Dhaka golfer secured his sixth professional victory with a commanding four-stroke advantage at 23-under-par 187. Weather conditions made play impossible during the scheduled fourth round on Friday.

Hossain earned 15 lakh rupees for his first triumph since November 2024. Chandigarh's Akshay Sharma finished second at 19-under-par 291, collecting 10 lakh rupees. The winner maintained consistent performance throughout the shortened event, recording only one bogey across 54 holes. His opening round of 61 established early momentum that he sustained through subsequent rounds of 62 and 64.
