Jazz Square renovation to finish by August in Petersburg

Workers are making Jazz Square better for everyone who visits. The square sits right in the middle of Petersburg's Central District. City officials want all the improvements done before August ends. People can already see new playground equipment that kids will love using. Families will have more fun when everything becomes finished.

Construction crews have started building something really special for music lovers. They are putting up a huge stage that stretches 80 meters across the space. Workers also prepared the ground where new walking paths will go. The project falls under a city program that makes neighborhoods more comfortable for residents. Officials hope these changes help people enjoy their free time more.

The green space only received its musical name two years back during 2023. Officials picked Jazz Square because it sits right next to a very unique concert hall. David Goloshchekin started this special place for jazz music back when the city was still called Leningrad. He played many different instruments and wrote his songs. This connection makes the square's musical theme perfect for the area.
