Zambia and the Czech Republic advanced their technology partnership during a meeting between officials from the Ministry of Technology and Science and the Czech Ambassador Jiří Kyrian on September 28, 2025. The nations will host the Tech4Zambia Forum on Oct. 27, 2025, at the Intercontinental Hotel in Lusaka to expand discussions on innovation and digital development. Government leaders, private sector representatives, academics, and members of civil society will attend the event.
The SLIM Project continues supporting Zambia's National Remote Sensing Center through geographic information systems training, remote sensing expertise, and equipment improvements. Officials from both countries plan to visit Prague and the European Space Agency in 2026. Czech businesses have expressed interest in Zambian opportunities across space technology and cybersecurity sectors, building on previous training programs with the Zambia Information and Communications Technology Authority and collaboration with the Czech National Cyber and Information Security Agency.
