Jill Scott is droping sixth album after a decade-long wait

Jill Scott just announced her first album in over a decade, ending the long wait for new music. The neo-soul legend revealed on Instagram that her sixth studio album, To Whom This May Concern, arrives next February, marking her inaugural release with The Orchard. She thanked fans for their patience in her post.

The project boasts major production collaborators, including Adam Blackstone, DJ Premier, and Om’Mas Keith, with features from artists like Ab-Soul, J.I.D., Tierra Whack, and Too $hort. A mission statement describes the nineteen-track collection as a celebration of connectivity and humanity, reflecting Scott's blend of grit and grace.

She also dropped the lead single, Beautiful People, a love letter to her community delivered with her signature poetic style and vocal power. The album is scheduled for release on Friday, February 13th.
