Jordan Ayew rips Oxford as ten-man Leicester salvage Kassam draw

Leicester City secured a point against Oxford United during their Championship encounter at the Kassam Stadium on Saturday. Ghana striker Jordan Ayew netted the equalizer during the thirteenth minute after Will Lankshear had given the hosts an early advantage. The Foxes faced adversity when Aaron Ramsey received a red card during the first period. Oxford United capitalized on their numerical superiority and restored their lead before the interval through a Boubakary Soumaré deflection. Leicester demonstrated resilience after halftime as they pursued another equalizer.

Ricardo Pereira restored balance to the scoreline during the fifty-fifth minute following setup work from Fatawu Issahaku. Ayew completed the full ninety minutes while his Ghanaian teammate Fatawu contributed seventy minutes of attacking play down the flank. The veteran forward's movement and energy helped create opportunities for his teammates throughout the match. Leicester supporters witnessed their team earn a valuable point despite playing with ten men for extended periods. The Foxes prepare to host Coventry City at the King Power Stadium on September 20th.
