Joyce Banda vows free secondary school and women's empowerment in Mzimba

Joyce Banda promised free secondary education during her People's Party rally in Mzimba on Friday. The former president outlined plans for youth resource centers that would provide vocational training across the nation. Her administration would establish a domestic motorbike manufacturing company to create employment opportunities while reducing transportation costs. Banda emphasized financial independence for women through enhanced support for small business ventures. She also committed to improving traditional leader compensation and housing conditions.

The presidential candidate positioned education as fundamental to expanding opportunities for all citizens. Her economic platform centers on poverty reduction and inclusive development policies. Running mate Khumbo Kachali attacked President Chakwera's government during the same event. He labeled the current administration as the most wasteful and corrupt in the country's history. Banda urged voters to support her vision of comprehensive national progress that benefits every citizen.
