JU vice-chancellor joins Bangladesh delegation for official visit to China

The head of Jahangirnagar University packed his bags and flew off to China for important school business. Professor Dr Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan joined a team of 20 education leaders on the special trip. The Chinese government asked them to come visit and see how their schools work. A press release from the university confirmed the professor left for his five-day adventure. The University Grants Commission chairman Professor Dr S M A Faiz leads the entire group.

Ahsan plans to check out four major Chinese universities during his stay overseas. He wants to visit Yunnan University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan University, and Sun Yat-sen University. The professor hopes to sign partnership deals with these schools for student exchanges and research projects. University officials from both countries will sit down and talk about working together. These meetings could open doors for Bangladeshi students to study abroad.

The delegation will tour museums, cultural centers, and education offices across three Chinese provinces. Yunnan, Hubei, and Guangdong provinces will host the visiting professors during their educational tour. Chinese officials want to show off their best schools and research facilities to the Bangladesh team. The trip gives both countries a chance to learn from each other and share teaching methods. Professor Ahsan expects to return home on July 11 with new ideas and signed agreements.
