Kaduna police arrest social media commentator over incitement charge

Kaduna State police officers captured a man who writes controversial posts on social media platforms. Mustapha Abubakar goes by the name Dan Saudia and calls himself a social commentator. Police raided a problem location at Rigasa within Igabi Local Government on Sunday. Officers found Abubakar smoking what appeared to be drugs during the operation. DSP Mansir Hassan speaks for the police command and announced the arrest details on Tuesday. Police discovered the suspect had large amounts of dried plant material that looked like marijuana. The raid was part of planned efforts to clean up known criminal gathering spots.

Abubakar remains locked up as police continue their investigation into his activities. Officers plan to take him to court after they finish collecting evidence against him.
