Police have charged 40-year-old Jolin Kanoheri with murdering her two-year-old son, Nganwa Rugari. The housewife from Mutungo Zone faces accusations that she killed her child between April 1 and 2. Court papers show police filed charges under Sections 171 and 172 for murder with intent. The crime allegedly happened at their family home in Mutungo Hill Parish, Kampala.
A second person also faces charges in this case. Robinah Nabbanja, the 24-year-old house helper who worked for the family, stands accused as an accessory after the murder. Police claim she helped Kanoheri avoid arrest after knowing about the death. Detective Akongo Bibiana officially filed these charges on April 10. The case paperwork has been processed through the Resident Chief State Attorney for Nakawa.
