Kaptai Lake tour in Rangamati sees Touhid Hossain push for CHT revival

Two government advisers toured Kaptai Lake today to explore development opportunities for Chattogram Hill Tracts residents. Foreign Affairs Adviser Md. Touhid Hossain and CHT Affairs Adviser Supradip Chakma traveled by speedboat from Bargee Lake Valley through Shuvolong Waterfall and Shuvolong Bazar to Stadium Ghat. District officials and their spouses accompanied the advisers during the lake inspection. The group examined ways to harness the water resource for regional growth. Rangamati District Council Chairman Kajal Talukder joined other local administrators for the assessment.

Hossain emphasized fish farming development along the lake shores to benefit nearby communities. He described Rangamati's natural beauty as centered on its hills and water features. Chakma compared the lake to gold and stressed its transformative potential for hill tract populations. The adviser highlighted government efforts to unite Bengali and hill communities while protecting all ethnic groups. He expressed determination to connect hill people with national development and advance agricultural progress in the region.
