Kasoa Mom Flies Off the Handle, Tries Poisoning Her Son

Police grabbed Mary Tawiah after she tried to hurt her baby during a crazy fight with her ex-boyfriend. The 24-year-old mom went looking for Kobby Nbelenbele at Kasoa market because he left her for another woman. She found him with his new girlfriend and started screaming at both of them. People watched as the argument got worse and worse. Mary pulled something dangerous from her bag and tried to put it inside her little boy's mouth.

Shoppers jumped forward to stop the angry mother before she could harm the child. They held her down and grabbed the baby away from her hands. Someone called the cops who came fast to arrest Mary. The little boy stayed safe and people made sure he got away from his mother. Police officers took both Mary and Kobby to jail for questioning.

Doctors checked the baby and found no injuries from the scary incident. Child protection workers came to take care of the little boy during the investigation. Police sent the mystery substance to a lab to find out what Mary tried to give her son. Officers promised to help the traumatized child with special counseling. Local people want more programs to help families deal with relationship problems and mental health issues.
