Police will bring a 36-year-old man to court on Tuesday after he reportedly killed Max Plaatjies with a knife attack. The deadly incident happened around 9:30 PM at the Jika Jika supermarket located in the Tseiblaagte residential area. Deputy Commissioner Nicodemus Mbango identified the victim as 21 years old. The argument started because of a beer that belonged to the older man.
The suspect took out a pocket knife during their disagreement, according to police reports. He stabbed the younger man on the left side of his neck, causing severe bleeding. Plaatjies managed to walk about 100 meters away from where the attack happened. He collapsed onto the paved road after losing significant blood from his injury. Medical responders declared him dead at that location when they arrived. Law enforcement continues investigating all details of this case before the court appearance.
