Kids in Konda Abanu Drowning in Flooded Classrooms

Francis Darku visited schools at Konda and Abanu last month. The Assembly Member saw broken classroom buildings that flood during rainy days. Water rushes through Abanu Primary and JHS every time storms hit the area. Students miss lessons when their classrooms fill up with muddy water. Teachers cannot teach properly when rain destroys books and furniture.

Darku gave math supplies to 60 students preparing for major exams. He handed out pens and rulers to help kids pass their tests. Thirty-five Konda JHS pupils received the free school materials. Twenty-five Abanu JHS students also got supplies for their 2025 certificate examinations. Local parents praised Darku for caring about their children's education.

The politician asked Kpando Municipal Assembly to fix the damaged schools. Government officials must send repair money to help these communities. Private groups might also donate funds for new classroom construction. Parent-Teacher Association members attended the important school meeting. Village leaders hope their children will have safe places to study.
