Kofi Abanga praises Hearts of Oak's improved performance despite trophyless season

Kofi Abanga used to play attack for Hearts of Oak and thinks his old team had a much better year. The former player said Hearts improved a lot even though they won no trophies during the season. The Rainbow Club finished fourth place during Premier League action and lost during the FA Cup Round of 16. Abanga compared this campaign to last year when Hearts nearly got relegated from the top division. He believes the team moved forward and made real progress.

Hearts fought hard to stay alive during the previous season but managed to climb into the top four this time around. Abanga told Peace FM that he felt proud watching his former club perform at higher levels. The ex-player said Hearts did much better when comparing both seasons side to side. He praised how the team jumped into the top four after struggling badly before. The former attacker called these results a big step toward future success.

Hearts of Oak recently picked Didi Dramani to coach the team during the 2025/26 football season. The club wants Dramani to build on the progress that Abanga noticed during recent months. Hearts hopes their new leader can take them from fourth place to trophy winners next year. The Rainbow Club believes Dramani has the skills needed to guide them toward silverware. Fans expect even better results when the new season starts up again.
