Kudus's hot Spurs debut is a £55m dagger to West Ham

Tottenham Hotspur secured a 2-0 preseason triumph against Reading FC at Select Car Leasing Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Ghana international Mohammed Kudus marked his first appearance for the North London club with an exceptional display. The 24-year-old midfielder demonstrated remarkable chemistry with his new colleagues while exhibiting the technical skills that attracted Tottenham's attention. His performance validated the substantial investment made by manager Ange Postecoglou's team during the summer transfer window. Kudus seamlessly integrated into the tactical system and showed promising signs for the upcoming season.

Will Lankshear broke the deadlock four minutes after halftime to give Spurs the advantage. Kudus then created the decisive moment by threading a precise pass to Luka Vušković, who converted the opportunity to double the lead. The assist highlighted the playmaker's vision and ability to unlock defensive formations. His contribution came just four minutes after the opening goal and effectively sealed the victory. The Ghana star completed his £55 million move from West Ham United earlier this summer and committed to a five-year deal.
