Kwahu Chief Asks Mahama to Wrap Up Hospital Build

The Kwahu Abetifihene Akyemfour Asiedu Agyemang III wants President Mahama to finish building the only government hospital in their area. He said Mahama started this project during his earlier time as president, but everything stopped when he left office in 2017. The hospital work has seen no progress for nine years. He stressed that all other hospitals in Kwahu belong to church missions rather than the government.

Akyemfour spoke at the Kwahu Business Forum held at Mpraeso Social Centre. He mentioned that the Kwahu people have always been known as traders. Many businesses from Kwahu started small but grew into large companies. He asked local people to use the forum as a chance to create more business leaders in their area.

The chief also discussed farming in Kwahu and praised the president for combining agribusiness with the trade ministry. Kwahu has lots of farmland, especially in Afram Plains. He asked for help with dam projects that were started earlier but never completed. If finished properly, these farms could create many jobs for local people.
