La Quimera Flop Fears Grow After Surprise Delay

Reburn, a studio formerly part of 4A Games Ukraine, unexpectedly postponed its debut first-person shooter, La Quimera. The game was originally scheduled for release on April 25, 2025, and review codes had already been distributed to the gaming press.

CEO Dmytro Lymar apologized for the sudden delay, citing challenges of being a new independent studio and ongoing difficulties in Ukraine. The studio announced the postponement through its Discord server after review codes had already been sent out.

Early reviews highlighted significant issues with the game. Reviewers noted extensive bugs and fundamental problems with the story, characters, and gameplay. The critique suggested La Quimera felt like an incomplete project requiring substantial further development.

The delay leaves the game's future release date uncertain. Reburn remains committed to addressing the game's challenges and continuing the development of their first independent title.
