Labbani leads NIIF tech hub blitz in Algiers

Algeria's National Investment Fund established a major technology center as part of the country's National Digital Transformation Strategy. The project launched September 15 during a formal ceremony held in Algiers. NIIF General Manager Saleh Labbani signed agreements with leaders from four prominent technology companies. Boumediene Senussi from Optimum Telecom Algeria, Boujemaa Awaroun from IT-DEV, Falla Kawar from INET, and Jalal Saidouni from SMART TEST participated in the partnership.

The technology center will speed up digital advances across Algeria, with special focus on financial services. The hub brings together technical knowledge, infrastructure, and resources through collaboration with the National Investment Fund. Government officials view this development as supporting broader plans to update public institutions and boost economic growth. The project positions Algeria to become a leading technology player in North Africa and the Middle East region.
