Lalon Queen Farida Parveen succumbs in Mohakhali ICU at 71

Folk music legend Farida Parveen died at age 71 after battling kidney disease at a city hospital this evening. Medical professionals confirmed the death of the artist, widely recognized as the Queen of Lalon Geeti. Her husband and four children remain to mourn her passing. The renowned performer had endured prolonged renal complications that required increasingly frequent medical intervention. Recent months have brought significant deterioration in her health status.

Universal Medical College Hospital in Mohakhali admitted Parveen on September 2 for standard dialysis treatment.
