Councillor Baba Jabbi of Fajikunda Ward has called on his area's National Assembly Member to cease social media insults against constituents. He specifically cited disrespectful remarks aimed at UDP members and supporters in Latrikunda Sabiji.
Jabbi recounted personally recruiting the lawmaker when he lacked political support, offering him the UDP ticket for the parliamentary seat. After initial hesitation and family consultation, the candidate agreed. Jabbi stated that local UDP structures then worked hard to secure his nomination and election, overcoming internal party resistance.
The councillor argued the lawmaker's current position resulted directly from those collective UDP efforts and voter mobilization. He found it unacceptable for the official to now disparage the party and community that enabled his political career.
