A lawyer named Erias Nalukoola Luyimbazi will run for parliament in a place called Kawempe North. His party, the National Unity Platform, picked him to be their main person in the race. The party leaders chose him on Tuesday at their big office in Kavule, near Makerere.
Last week, Luyimbazi met with nine other people who wanted the same job. They all talked about what they would do to improve Kawempe North. Two smart people named Andrew Karamaji and Dr. Judith Nalukwago helped them have a nice talk about their ideas.
The people need a new person in parliament because their old leader, Muhammad Ssegirinya, died on January 9. Many different people wanted this job. One of them worked with Mr Ssegirinya before he died. A special name, Mafu Mafu, knew another person. They all wanted to help make their area better.

But he left that job because his old party made friends with the government party without telling anyone else in their group. Luyimbazi thought this was wrong because they should have asked other people what they thought first.
